[CW] KSM - Today! = Press and WX and QRV for ships

It's Saturday and as usual San Francisco Radio / KSM is on the air from
1700Z to 2300Z.

PX  and WX (Press and Weather) transmission at:  1700Z on both WT (Wireless
Telegraphy) CW  and Radioteleprinter frequencies.

WX for Pacific Ocean is also sent at 2130 on WT only.

KSM Frequencies (in kc)

WT CW:

500 kHz (Calling and Safety Only)

Radioteleprinter and SITOR:

KSM uses two modes of radioteleprinter: Baudot and SITOR FEC. Baudot
transmissions are at 170 Hz shift, 45 baud. SITOR  FEC transmissions are at
170 Hz shift, 100 baud.

KSM operators monitor 500 kHz and world-wide calling channel 3 in all HF
bands. The frequencies for calling channel 3 are (in kHz): 4184.0, 6276.0,
8368.0, 12552.0, 16736.0 and 22280.5.  KSM will announce the working
frequency of ships calling so you can try to hear them on the working
channel.

K6KPH is generally also available for amateur radio communications.  K6KPH
listens and transmits on 3550, 7050, 14050 and 21050 kHz using two
transmitters from the KPH / KFS inventory - so during daylight try 21 and 14
MHz and as it gets later in San Francisco, try 14 and 7 and then 7 and 3.5
MHz.
