[CW] CW trends on the ham bands -- as I experience it

Its the latter. Everyone wants to get on to the next step in their lives,
without living the one they are in. On the DX bands, it appears they either
just want the next station, or they really have nothing to say. Of course,
if there is anyone else standing by, they will complain that the DX or his
QSO partner are yakking when HE wants a QSO, and some feel put down by that.
Personally, I copy everything important that comes across - meaning copy,
I.E. put it down on paper. Thus if I can copy (no QRM or QSB) I will get
your name down, and read it when Im talking back to you, thus Patrick is
Patrick, not Peter, or something else. Yeah, I can copy in my head, but I
may not remember it 2 minutes later, thus its on paper to be remembered. As
to callsigns, I just dont know. I dont seem to have the problem in CW, but
in voice I pull what little is left of my hair out. Why people have a
problem with a C is beyond me. I used DELTA, or DENMARK, or David, or
almost anything else I can think of, to get them to change their F or L or
whatever they think they have heard, and they will change to another wrong
letter. One QSO on 6 yesterday, I was about to give up, after 3 minutes of
trying to get them to say my real call (after giving me a 59 of course).
That is another pet peeve. Why obhter to give a report, if you are not
going to give a correct one, and after askign my name 3 times, my QTH after
I have said or spelled it out twice, then a 59 or 599 is NOT appropriate.
