Hello Jim,
I just said that the 1st class radiotelegraph license had an age requirement
of 21 years of age, the 2nd class radiotelegraph had an age requirement of
18 years of age.
Henry and I are teasing you about the Buffalo radio station using CW and
RADAR because you put down radiotelegraph and we're both guessing that you
meant to put down radiotelephone, right? You needed a PHONE license for AM
station right, not the TELEGRAPH license, right? The radiotelegraph license
was not good for broadcast stations except for the 10 watt variety of FM
stations that the FCC came out with later.
I do that too, after a while I can't even find my typographical errors - the
errors look correct and I keep reading them as I intended to write them!
Thanks for your service to our country - I'm proud that a #1 CW operator
made US Army Special Forces "A" Team.
All the good guys were CW operators - including Johnny Cash!
