 David, you mean you print?  For me, an e is just a loop.  Cursive has always been faster than printing.  Of course we could all learn shorthand, but I just write the words as they come.

You can modify your handwriting for more speed:  You can write an "E" by making a swing like "(" with a right-going "-" at the center, or a zig-zag!

Sure is faster when copying "E"!
