Evil site or not, those Scotia
paddles<http://cgi.ebay.com/HAMCO-Trinidad-Iambic-Morse-Paddle-Key_W0QQitemZ270472170102QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef965ca76>(click
to see) are beautiful. I have the Scotia which was brushed finish -
but I tired of the dull brush look and I polished it brightly a bit later.

A bit more on this paddle is that Vibroplex bought out Hamco - and offered
their Brass Racer - but it wasn't as pretty as the "engine turned" model you
have.

For those interested in paddles, this is a good opportunity to own a rare
high quality set of paddles. I agree with Jim, the problem with the then
Bencher paddles was that they "flew off the supporting (floating actually)
pin. Bencher has improved that design but Hamco eliminated the problem
entirely with its design.

Good luck, Jim - thanks for preserving a fine example of amateur radio
history and good wishes to the next owner. He or she will do themselves
proud by acquiring such a great paddle. I've used mine for 29 years now.

I started using them when I was N1EA/MM and I had a pair of those paddles on
the operating desk on WILLIAMSBURGH/WGOA
