I thought the Russian alphabet had no letter "W" - so what is DSW a joke? I guess it would be DSV with the Russian alphabet.

How about our intercept operators - did you ever hear DSV or DSW on those circuits?

into Ham Radio around 1960. It is used alot by the Russian
CW Operators. DSW means "Dasvidanja" in Russian,
See you again, or Good Bye.

Lately, I have head a few stations sending 73 DSW. I did some looking, and this looks to be Russian for goodbye.

This seems to be a recent development, and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on its use?
