Agreed; on another reflector, a QRPer friend mentioned that
he could hear a signal on 80 meters on his ATS-3 that was
inaudible on his Elecraft K2. 

And the receiver in the K2 is no slouch!

I love my ATS-3; it's much more than just a novelty radio!
