7.100 to 7.125 after March 29th... what will it look like?
I worry that the vacuum created by the removal of the BC stations
will quickly draw SSB and digital stations into the slice above
7.100. As incumbents in that area, we need to continue to bolster
activity as much as we can to stake our continued claim to and need
for the 25Kc segment.... Especially as a safe haven for our newer /
slower CW ops to congregate and gain experience. Let's hope that
some of the DX SSB will skip over the 25Kc segment and land up on the
traditional SSB portion now that it too will be BC free. By the way,
they're only vacating from 7.100 to 7.200. 7.200 to 7.300 will still
have BCI as far as I have read.
So as we get closer to March 29th, and then especially beyond, let's
all try to show some increased activity between 7.100 and
7.125. Otherwise we'll quickly find we are over run. 7.100 to 7.125
will instantly become prime real estate on March 29th. It's time to
SQUAT and renew our claim!
