Hello Ken,
interesting to hear that you have been there in person! I suppose you
know that Bengt Dagås passed away recently.
I have been a member of the "Association Alexander" for many years now.
I was born in Varberg, and we had free sight towards the antennas when I
was young, until they built a house in the sightline. My old mother was
of the firm opinion that the antennas attracted the lightnings, and of
course we could see the lightnings hit the antennas during the autumn
thunderstorms. (On the other hand, she also thought that black cats
attracted the lightnings...)
The antenna towers are imposing, I have never been allowed to climd any
of them! I hope that you will be able to hear SAQ sometime in the
future! There will be a transmission on the Alexanderson Day, 28th of June.
