dummy load makes a fine all band antenna...20 years ago on 160 with 20 watts or so in broad daylight (noonish)?I had QSO after a short test with a guy 60 miles away in San Francisco.? He complained I woke him up.? We thought it might have something to do with us both being on top of the san andreas fault, but I have had lots of qso's on dummy loads.? Its a stealth antenna.

I once had a QSO using a 60W light bulb as a dummy load
for my DX-60. I was sending VVV TEST and someone actually
answered me (back when I was WA6QIJ in CA).
