[CW] AR or K after CQ?

Getting on the air is of utmost importance. But, meanwhile, getting on and
understanding the goings-on, for new ops is also important, and they should
learn the proper procedures, when they do so. One of the reasons for this
discussion is that some have learned one way, and other another way. We ALL
become teachers by the old adage: "Do as I do". If I do it wrong, and am
the first contact they make, then they are most likely to immediately pick
up my habits, be they good or bad. If it is easy enough for us to hear
someone saying K or KN at the end of a "over" and to wonder exactly where
they are in a conversation that we have just tuned in, then it would become
even more confusing to the new guys. Do we all not wish that we would have
had such an amazing group to learn from, back in our new-guy days? SK
