[CW] New Island on the Air with CW

   Goat island is an US Island in the middle of North Lake in Fort Worth Texas, we had a great day today.

David, Mike, Scott, Stephen and myself (Bob) all appreciate all the contacts we were able to make and help many others make a new
Island contact.

After kayaking and canoeing for 30 minutes, out to the Island, we walked up some 100 feet at abt a 80 degree angle to get to the top
and set up camp.

I only almost tipped over some 6 times, but gained back my balance (somehow) Hi Hi

Yes it was hot must have been almost 105 degrees, but we had plenty of water and food to last the day. Hot dogs were on the agenda
for food and plenty of water.

We made our DX contacts in order to qualify the Island along with around 150 to 200 more all over the USA. Including WY, NY, NC, CA,
FL, TX, MN, MI, MA, TN, and even made a CW contact with WG0AT in CO, also worked many other states that I am too tired to remember
right now Hi Hi. But be assured they are all in the log.

Batteries were good all day until around 5pm central time and they started to fade on us so we made a few more contacts and packed
up to paddle back across to our landing spot.

More fun than I have had in a long long time.

Thanks to all for all of the CW contacts and the spots and reflector emails, it was a blast.

Next weekend we do Pelican Island. So be ready for some more CW and some more great fun. Same time Same Station. :0)
