[CW] 500 kHz ham transmitter

Yeah, I know. But, still think the same thing. Its the ITU that makes the original rules and more often than not, they just throw their hands up and say USE IT, without any worrys that one countrys rules will interfere with others. I do wish we had INTERNATIONAL subbands. 40 meters was a start, but probably pretty much the end too. Making three regions was a mistake, and keeping them is more of a mistake. You and I have been there!!!!!

  Hello Danny,

The units are made in Finland. This mail list goes all over the world and each nation is free to make their own rules as long as they comply with the ITU guidelines and/or treaties. Finland is anticipating a ham band there - and the UK already has one there. The USA does NOT have a ham band there (yet).

  Best wishes,

I was truly hoping for better sense, at the FCC level, and they would forbid ANY commercial equipment for the band, unless it was an old unit that some ham had converted for ham use. Put the ham back in radio. In this case, lets just say it ALL must be commercial, and cost at least a thousand bucks, and turn it into "user" radio.
