I noticed an article on the ARRL web site about the Perseids,
that are expected to peak tonight and early tomorrow morning.
http://www.arrl.org/news/stories/2009/08/06/11006/?nc=1
Although the article (and recent editions of the ARRL handbook)
emphasize meteor scatter as a mode for 6 and 2, my 1976 ARRL
handbook discusses meteor scatter on 10, and even 15 meters.
Since I don't have any 6 or 2 meter CW equipment, I'm interested
in trying meteor scatter out using CW on 10 meters (and/or
possibly 15).
I have to admit up front that I've never experienced meteor
scatter communications. From what I've read, early morning
is the best time.
Have any of you had any experience with this?
What techniques did you find useful?
Are any of you interested in setting up a schedule, and monitor
a frequency (or frequency range) to give this a whirl?
