Hey, Neil. I do the same thing. But mine is like a Western Union
tape printer. I envy you guys with the modern LED's. The only thing
is that the paper is white not WU yellow. Progress perhaps!
I just look at the tape and read it, doesn't everyone do that? When I
type the code, I look at the letter on the paper tape and bash that
key top. Let's see now. QST QST QST DE W1AW W1AW W1AW NW CODE
PRACTICE ...
See easy?
Maybe if I drink another cup of coffee, I will see the LED's. You
might be on to something good.
