I believe the skill is still taught in some branches of the armed
forces, including the United States Navy, but for intelligence
gathering purposes.

(NNS) -- Sailors from the Center for Information Dominance (CID) Corry Station made a special delivery to the Waterfront Rescue Mission in downtown Pensacola Dec. 21, courtesy of fellow CID staff and students hoping to make the holidays brighter for homebound and homeless members of the community.
Cryptologic Technician Collection 1st Class Robert Paul and Cryptologic Technician Collection 2nd Class Lance Burney, Manual Morse Code instructors at CID's Corry Station learning site, organized the drive and collected donations of food, clothing and toiletries for delivery to the mission.
