I've been successful at over 100 feet at 500 Hz. It depends on the amp. The
louder you yell the better off you are.

If it's 500 Hz, use LOTS of wire.
The electromagnetic field won't hold up very well,
so the signal won't get too far. Best DX would be 20 feet.

500Hz....just another Top Band, seems to me.
Experiment with a little bit longer wire.
