[CW] Laci, W1PL, ex-WA1FHU, HA4EA - SK - 20 Jan 2008 -

OIn Saturday I spoke with Laci Radnay (also called Les or Laslo),
W1PL, ex WA1FHU, HA4EA, etc.  He was in assisted living but shortly
after our phone call - which included Morse code sent my hand  key and
oscillator and Laci's beautiful mouth Morse of
"doot-doot-dit-dit-dit,  ... ... dit-dit-dit-doot-doot" - 73 (perhaps
his last QSO!), but I just found out from his grandson, that he passed
away last night,  Sunday 20 January 2008.

Laci was age 96.

He was a great CW operator as we all remember.

He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  The people who he
touched with his gentleness is numbered in the tens of thousands.
