CW and related items For Sale:
Special Deluxe CW Key
This first key is extremely nice, and is special in its
mounting. The key itself is a Nye Viking Speedex oval base
310-001 key, which sells new for $58 by itself, and has
very nice action. What separates this key from any others
is the base it is mounted on. It is solid metal about 6
inches long and 5 inches wide and 3/4 inch thick. It
weighs about 6 pounds, so it will not move across the
desk when you use it. There is a nice beveling around
the top. To put it another way, this is a specially
machined base, made for the key. The metal appears
to be copper, although it is not shiny copper, but
instead has a "patina" to it like antique items. A
layer of cork covers the bottom to protect your operating
table. There is a cable with a metallic shielded 1/4 inch
plug on it. This is certainly a one of a kind key. $100
TenTec KR-20 A Electronics Keyer / Paddles:
The KR-20 A is a combination of a set of CW paddles and
the electronic keyer combined all in a single unit.
This unit will operate from either 120 V AC, or from
13 V DC. The electronic portion includes speed control,
plus an internal weighting control. Side tone is also
included, and it will key both positive and negative
voltages with its reed relay output. It also has a
special "tune button" on the top that can be used as
an aid in adjusting your rig or antenna tuner, or it
can be used as a straight key.
This particular unit works fine, and looks fine also.
Paper work is included for $50.
TenTec KR-2 A Keyer Paddle For Sale:
The KR-2 A is the same paddle assembly used in the KR-5
and KR-20 A keyers, but does not have any electronics inside.
It also has a small button on the top of the case that
can be used as a straight key, but can also be used as an
aid to tune up your rig.
It is designed to be used with your own keyer, but many
people have put an electronic keyer inside the shielded
aluminum case which is about 4 x 4 x 2 inches in size,
plus the paddle itself.
The KR-2 A is the woodgrain top / egg shell white color
that matches the early Triton series of rigs, plus the
Argonaut 509, and others.
This particular unit is in good condition.
The paper work is included (a single sheet). $25
Cable for straight key
Similar to cable for paddles, but has a mono 1/4 inch
phone plug on it, as is used with a straight key. $5
As above, but 1/8 inch plug. $5
Cable for paddles
This cable is about 3 feet long, and has 1/4 inch stereo
connector on the end, like used by most rigs. It looks
great. $8
As above, but 1/8 inch plug. $8
Code Practice Key / Buzzer:
Herald Electronics Co. Model SW-12 A
"Telegraph Key with Buzzer"
This is a very vintage unit. It is in its original
box, with the paper work, with an address of simply
"Chicago, Ill", with no zip code, and not even a zone.
I would guess 1950's vintage, but of course that is a guess.
The unit consists of a code key built into a base that
appears to be bakelite. The key is somewhat similar to
a J-38 (without a shorting bar), with shiny nickel plated
knurled nuts. The key has a regular knob, and not a navy
knob. Behind the key is a round cover over the buzzer,
and behind that is a place for a single D cell battery.
The unit is complete with the original instruction sheet,
in the original box. $40
Code Tapes For Sale:
I realize that most of the people on this mailing list already
know the code, and these tapes probably are not appropriate
for them. However, many of you might be "Elmering" someone to
get going on the code, and will find them useful.
The following code tapes are from a silent key estate. They
are not original tapes. I have no idea where he got them from
-- if they came from the internet, off the air, or what. I do
know that they are code tapes that have good code practice on
them, as I have listened to portions of each tape. They all
appear to be 90 minute tapes. The names I am listing is what
is written on the tape.
I am selling them for basically the cost of the tape - $4 each.

Ameco Code Course
This book looks like it might be made to go with the Ameco
code records. There is general information about the code,
but portions of the book list what is being sent by the code
records. There is also a diagram about how to make a code
practice oscillator from a 50C5 and 35W4. There is no date
or edition on it, but the tube type CPO somewhat dates it! $5
ARRL Code Kit - 1976
This is the booklet only, that originally went with a kit of
cassette tapes. This has the info that is contained on the
tapes listed in it. If you have the tapes, and need the booklet
to go with it, this is for you. If you just want to read about
it, this is great also. $2

No date or edition, but it is designed for a 10 week course,
