[CW] CW recordings

Hello group,

I've recently discovered the real reason for the existence of mp3
players!

http://mikea.ath.cx/www.n1ea.coastalradio.org.uk/index.html

I know David N1EA is on this list and I was wondering if there are any
more such recordings available?

For general CW background noise (eg in the car) I often play the ARRL
practise files (25wpm up to 40wpm) - following the principles
described in "The Art & Skill of Radio Telegraphy" p.41:-

"Listen, Listen, Listen to well sent code. Listen at every opportunity
as well as planned practice sessions".

I'm happy loafing along at 25, can follow the general meaning at 30,
have to really concentrate at 35 and can grab the odd phrase out at 40,
so this speed range is the best for me to either feel comfortable and
happy or to improve by hearing faster than my comfort zone.

But for sheer entertainment (and misplaced nostalgia for an era I am
too young to remember, at 41) I've found David's sound files to be
great!

Now that there is no more commercial CW on the air it's not possible to
create my own recodings. I occasionally record a bit of amateur band
CW, but it's not the same, and there isn't the variety of fists, tone
etc. that David's old 500khz files have.

Can anyone point me to any more old off-air recordings of CW, or has
anyone got any they'd be willing to share with direct?

Cheers,

John GM4SLV
