The most distressing thing about incident is that Iraq did not protest
to Iran that Iran had invaided their waters, raided a naval vessel
authorized by Iraq to inspect merchant shipping in its national
waters.

Never saw a word of that.

Also, the India flagged merchant ship the Royal Navy was boarding has
GPS and released the QTH - the Indian ship was in Iraq waters and
witnessed the ambush of the RN boarding team by the Iran Navy ships.

Iraq should have issued an ultimatum to Iran.
