I think Jim's recommendations are spot on. You certainly can't
go wrong with G4FON's Koch program.  I used to recommend
copying actual qso's on the air, but the level of expertise I hear on
the air sometimes makes me cringe.  Better to listen to what good
sending sounds like, so the op can pick up on it, and hopefully emulate
it in his own sending.

Hide the pencils and paper, close your eyes, and don't mentally flog
yourself for missing characters. I think it happens all too often that
beginners tense up too much - just relax, and if you miss a few, or
most of them, no worries.  Just keep trying - that's the important part.
The payoff is immeasurable, and will last a lifetime.
