I've posted the first set of numbers from the J-36 Bug project -
it's in a table at the bottom of the page at -

http://tinyurl.com/9y3kq

In comparing to K4MSG's excellent 1998 research results, et al.,
we see that there are now 4 additional name plate contract numbers
reported for the Vibroplex units. Total estimated number of Vibroplex
J-36s has increased by 829. There is also a substantial increase in
the estimated number of Bunnells. Gathered data indicate no change
for the numbers of BMS and Lionel J-36s from the 1998 data.

This is assuming of course that all runs started with serial #1 - I have
seen 2 pictures of Vibroplexes that carry the #1 serial number from
2 different contracts, so this is all I have to go with as far as starting
numbers. I had two owners reporting in with the J-36s with no contract
or serial numbers.

I'm still looking for contract dates for the following contract numbers:

11210-NY-36
13374-NY-37
9910-Phila-42

This is an ongoing project that I will continue as long as data keeps
coming in. But that depends on you. Please send your data in, and
pass the word around amongst members of your club. Feel free to print
the web page info and pass it around at hamfests, etc.
