[CW] Qrl?

Hello Rich,

Yes, I worked a VO1 the other day on 50.098 MHz.

I've had many SKCC (Straight Key Century Club) members who are on bugs, drop
down to straight keys. I agree with that. The straight key is an awsome
level playing field.

Of what comparison is it when one fellow is on a straight key and the other
on a bug? Some bug operators can do 60 wpm - VE7NH is one that can.

I can't argue with the "owner" of SKCC, last year ARRL incorporated bugs and
cooties into "straight key night" - saying that they were of the same
"spirit" - I guess liberal inclusiveness has spread its disingenuous turtle
head into amateur radio.

There IS a difference Mildred. Bugs are semi-automatic machines.

I think straight keys should be - well, errr, they should be "Straight Keys"

Perfect synopsis, Dave. And thanks for the 6m qso a couple nights ago -
working you and a bunch of others (including a VO1) with the J-36 was
awesome.
I truly had nervous fumble fingers, couldn't remember my skcc number.
But a great band opening nonetheless.

I do admit to falling off the wagon and commiting a few ssb qso's. But I'm
back in detox and feeling better -hi.

Rich, N8UX.
