So am I correct to assume that from 11-39 to 1-45
Vibroplex produced only 126 J-36s? That doesn't seem like much
production for military use during WW2. According to Bill
Holly's book, the reason Lionel was supposedly given the designs
to produce a J-36 was because military demand for the Vibroplex
exploded just prior to WW2.
I think I've seen more Lionels (or more correctly, J-36 type keys
without nameplates on them) than the Vibroplex. I've never
yet seen a large type nameplate Vibroplex, except for in the
books.
