Stan:
I have a lot of friends who have set the UK test and your system is one of
the better ones.
here in the USA all you have to do now is memorize the question pool as
they give you all the questions that are on the test and then you mark out
the wrong answers and just memorize the questions and correct answers . I
use to do a lot of testing but now i do not as to why i just got sick and
tired of hearing the guys complaining that it took them a week to memorize
all those questions so they could pass the general test. i restore old gear
for my own use and sometimes fix gear for other hams. true story i had one
of the new extra's in the area call me about his new rig he had been using
for about six months. said it was dead and wanted me to look at it before
he sent it back to the factory. ok bring it over. i plugged it into one of
my power supples and it worked just fine. so he went back and got his power
supply. hooked it up nothing. checked the fuse and it was blown. replaced
the fuse and it worked great. asked him what he was doing when it went
dead. well i had it on AM and was trying to adjust my antenna to talk to
some of my old pals on channel 21 and after a few mins it just blow. true
story. i just shook my head and gave it back to him.
Merry Christmas
