[CW] FCC's Plan Realized - 73 de N1EA

I looked this morning for an announcement or comments on QRZ for the
formation of "No Sissors International" and comments saying that why should
the demonstration of the ability of using sissors be needed when there is no
such requirement for a test on using pen or pencil?
Mr. Cross of the FCC - who seems very personable over the telephone - told
me many years ago - around 1999 - that he wants to put CB and amateur radio
together to save administration duties at the FCC.
The joke really hits home on this.
Also notice the strange matter of the FCC's not archiving the Technician
Plus licensees on the licensee database - even though they continue to
archive the Advanced licensees. Many - including myself - were very puzzled
by this. Now it is obvious why this was done.
This it is plain now was an indication that in some time in the future there
would be no need to differentiate between Technician and Technician Plus -
the light for that time is on the horizon - the new dawn approaches quickly.
This of course was all rigged - there was no chance of any comments
persuading the FCC otherwise - it was done many years ago they just had to
go through the motions.

Washington D.C.-
It was announced today that Kellogg's and the Federal Communications
Commission have signed a pact to issue Amateur Radio Licenses on specially
marked boxes of Corn Flakes.
In this unprecedented move the FCC believes this will not hurt
amateur radio but allow all individuals to receive an amateur radio license
without having to demonstrate any skills with the exception of being able to
use a pair of scissors to cut out their operating permit from the breakfast
cereal box.
Kellogg's spokesperson commented that they were proud to have been
selected by the government to be the issuer of licenses for amateur radio in
the US and hope to soon make an agreement with other cereal loving
countries. They also expect that will be issuing certificates of achievement
for DXCF for confirmed contacts with 100 corn flakers.
