[CW] old J key

Hello Don,
Maybe someone replaced the lever of the key with a E.F. Johnson lever. Many
people were making keys during WW2 and it might be possible that there was
such a key made due to necessity. Johnson had levers, Lionel had the rest
of the keys and the "boys over there" needed them ASAP if not sooner...
Have you matched up the type of screws used? Is the hardware brass (as in
the Lionel keys) or nickel plate?

Subject: [CW] old J key
Hey group
Without offending any one I refer to this kley as a J key
without any numbers after it .
I picked one up a Lionell at local hamfest last weekend
but the strange thing about it was there is a E. F Johnson
key on the Lionell base , is this possibly a replacement
or did it actually come that way ? Never seen one before
, it looks original ,no screws scratched or the base either .
opinions please
Don K8OMO
