[CW] Observations

On the ham bands I am having more and more QSOs than I've ever had: "I've
been licensed for XX years, and I only discovered CW in the last year, and
now I don't do any other mode except CW."

More and more hams are discovering that AM, FM, SSB, RTTY etc. are all
boring - you can talk on the telephone, and "keyboard" on the internet, but
you can do CW on the radio.

Isn't history strange - the thing that they try to eliminate is what will
save Amateur Radio.

Also, I got a call today from a former Navy Radioman who wanted to send a 73
using a key at a Memorial Service this week for former men of the USS
AMERICA which is being sent to sea to be a target for sinking. The Navy
wouldn't allow him to do this because the Navy no longer uses Morse.
