Hello Buck : I think maybe the new op's are afraid of "a little static" !
None of the new radio's (that I am aware of) have noise limiters or AVC
defeat switch's, thus static drives the radio and operator nuts ! (?).
I find however that a good DSP system really helps tired old ears. Ops
seem to be unwilling to copy any signal under S9+ ?? I have a schedule
year round on 3575 at 7:15 pm central Tuesday evenings. You are welcome
to give us a buzz (a net meets there before my sked so you might have to
wait a while but not often). 73 es GL OM DE K0NG (no KN here!!) ..
