[CW] Leave no ham behind

I'll admit that I have mixed emotions about the whole thing. Remove the 
cw requirement and I can't help but think that there will be an 
immediate increase in HF activity on phone. I suppose having a bunch of 
new ops is a good thing for the hobby.

We can only hope that some percentage of these new ops will decide to 
give cw a chance and end up loving it.

We can also only hope that there will be some spectrum left alone by the 
phone and digital ops for us to call our own and operate.

For me, give me a spot on the band and let me pound the key. If the 
phone ops want to proliferate and croud their part of the band, let them 
go for it.

If it turns into what 11 meters is, I will quit I suppose. Some dial 
spinning on some bands already has me wondering if that isn't already 
taking place.

I know most of you won't listen to this, but why not concider a cease 
fire in your flame war here and think about who is on your side? I bet 
you find that most everyone IS on your side. Stop taking shots at them. 
sure, these are emotional times. Emotional for me too.

Whatever happens will happen. Face it, cw lovers are outnumbered. Stop 
bitching and get on the air. I called cq on 40 all the way to work today 
and heard nobody. the band wasn't dead for the foreign BC stations....
