[CW] Novice Bands are still there.

I look back on my novice days with fond rememberances. Ham radio was really
a fraternity back then. You could always find some one to work in the
novice bands, usually another novice, but sometimes a higher class of
license who would slow down for you. I remember one ham who was an advanced
who would make an expedition to Delaware every year for the novice roundup,
just to give out that rare state.

It is too bad that the ARRL killed the novice license. I don't think new
hams today get those kind of wonderful experiences hanging around on the
local Channel 19, err, repeater.

I also don't seem to remember whining and crying about why did I have to
increase my code speed to get my general, but then maybe my memory is
selective.

P.S. I keep hoping to find out that this NPRM is really just a Gigco
commercial.
