It's not that I have trouble finding a QSO. There is usually some activity
down between 3500 and 3560 or so, but the frequencies between about 3580 and
3725 are often completely devoid of cw signals even under good band condx.
You might catch a few stations in the novice band, and a handful of
"digital" modes operating above 3600, but the space is very sparcely
populated when there is no contest going on.
When I was first licensed back in 1959, during the hours of darkness the
band stayed packed with signals from 3500 all way to the phone band, and it
continued to be that way until maybe 15 years ago.
