My 2-cents worth:
Until Skips email I had not heard of the Signal Link either. However, I am
seriously thinking about getting one because I now have to share my one and
only Serial port with my homebrew interface for PSK31, etc and my Yaesu 990
rig's CAT interface (this auto logs my freq., mode, etc while using Log-EQF
logging software. The price is a bargain at between $50 and $75 depending
what cables your rig needs.

Sherrill,
The Signal Link SL-1 is one of two computer/radio interfaces that are
manufactured by Tigertronics - http://www.tigertronics.com/
Good interface instructions are given here:
http://www.k6sra.org/sound_card.html
You'll find complete information on their web site. It is a good unit and
one of the best advantages of this unit over others is that it doesn't
require a serial port to operate.
I've used this on CW, SSB, AM, FM, AMTOR, RTTY, PSK, MFSK, THROB, SSTV and
FAX with excellent results.

Has anyone had any experience with this unit ?
I am thinking of getting one and using it with my Yaesu FT-840 ,I was
hoping
that some one has some experience with it,I plan on using it only in the CW
mode. I would appreciate it very much if I could get some info ( good or bad
) about this unit.
Tnx in advance De Skip K1TXU
