[CW] bugs on SKN ??

I agree with you, Ron, that would be a great event too.

I can't for the life of me see why there's any disagreement!

Straight Key Night - is about "straight keys"!

It is something that puts us all on equal footing.

I've often thought of expanding the "Straight Key" theme to have a contest
where everyone had to use a straight key and paper logs and dupe sheets.

I just wonder how many of the big contest guns would roll over and go to
sleep, while how many of the old timers who have done that before would
carry through.

Even Paul Bunyan on a straight key couldn't compete with a bug. No one
could.

I'd love to see a night of all mechanical keys - but that isn't the same
thing as "STRAIGHT KEY" night.

If there is such a night, sign me up. I send mostly with a bug anyway, but
it still is nice to find company.

I support SKN only because we all need to keep in the practice
of banging two pieces of wire (or anything else) to transmit
communications in an emergency. (our timing)

Otherwise only modern devices should be used. IMMHO
