[CW] bugs on SKN ??

Hans,

Please don't misunderstand - as one who has QSO's "The Accomplished Bug Man"
(you!), I know the sound of sweet music. I myself send on a bug. Currently
I'm sending on a 1945 Vibroplex Original but I have some standby bugs from
McElroy and other varients of the Vibroplex line going back to 1919 Blue
Racer with a cloverleaf frame to a Blue Racer 2000.

I'm just saying that it doesn't put everyone on the same "playing field" and
if that is what is wanted, it should be renamed.

With bugs and cootie keys included - it just isn't Straight Key Night.

You won't get an argument from me that even WITH bugs and cooties that it
will sound refreshingly interesting compared with keyboards and keyers.

The ARRL announcement specifically mentions "old-fashioned bugs, a
variation of the straight key".

That's all the "technically acceptable" that I need.

I think in the context of this event, a bug is perfectly acceptable. If
it's not acceptable to you, don't answer my CQ.
