[CW] Brits, SKs etc..

It's a British thing... stiff upper lip, etc. etc. We can be equally 
inflexible however... look at the theoretical 20wpm straight key 
sending thing that held sway for so many years for Extra. I THINK 
some FCC offices allowed you to bring other keys... but who would 
remember-being nervous enough about the written part-I will boast I 
wasn't particularly nervous about the receiving part. I took mine at 
the Atlanta office under Angelo Dundee-who DID toss out one of the 
Commercial ticket applicants when he failed to follow directions. I 
don't know if I was sending 20wpm on that straight key or not since I 
was pretty much out of practice, but they saw I COULD send, and 3 or 
4 words later said that was enough.
