I know I speak for the many readers of this reflector when I wish you 
continued progress and strength in your recovery and our continued thanks 
for the years of moderation of the CW reflector - we are thankful for your 
giving us the opportunity to speak of something that we love:  CW.

Be well, think of the sweet sounds of CW as you heal.  I used to keep a 
radio near me tuned to 40 meters after serious surgery about 10 years ago - 
it gave me the strength to pull out of what Doctors said I would never 
recover from.

Hi Folks

I apologize for the 'broadcast format of this email, but I cannot do
much better for the moment. I have had what I thought was just a
terrible cough for a couple of months now. I went to see my DR almost
2 weeks ago now-thinking I had pneumonia-and was told: "HOSPITAL
NOW!" Twice. Right then and there. I was in surgery by 7PM that
night. I had open heart surgery for a quintuple (5 shunt) bypass, and
all that fluid removed from my lungs. Not pneumonia, but rather
several heart attacks and congestive heart failure. I am apparently
pretty lucky I'm here at all. It's been a trip from then to now.

I came home from the hospital today finally, and can get out of bed
for 5 or 10 mins at a whack right now, just about enough time to dash
out an email-so I've been doing that. One email at a time.
