Ah, but, once again, Audacity is the answer.

I capture stream mp3s all the time -  just start
the Audacity program, start record, start the
stream audio, edit if necessary, and re-record.

You may have to play a little with the input
(source) settings, to get record, but just try
them all till you see audio waves.

Try it, you'll like it.
