What is the meaning of Step 3 on that page?

Is there any significance to the list of software at the bottom of the page?

The same page says at the top of that page that if you are running XP and
have Service Pack 2 installed, you only have to install the Office update
(and only if Office is installed).

To verify you have SP2 installed do this:

Go to PROGRAMS, then go to ACCESSORIES, then go to WINDOWS EXPLORER and run
that program, when that program opens up, go to HELP on the menu, and find
"About Windows" on the menu.  This will display the version of Windows
(including SP2) you have installed.
