This is a MSG I received this mornig about future use
of 500 KHz.

Dear OM,
 
I have read your msg about WIA's plans to claim 500
kc/s for a ham fq. 
My immediate comment is that whatever suggestions for
the future use of 500 kc  different national
associations, unions or administrations  
deliver, such can only be treated internationally and
not by for instance an Australian Authority.
 
My point of view is that 500 kc should be preserved as
a memorial frequency, perhaps with some running msg
with a short historical acount.
