Hello dear Morse friends:
I want to point this:
+ Everybody knows that WIA and RSGB were leading an
anti CW examination movement. May be this is very
suspicious for some Sparks?.
+ I am not the originator of the idea, but it is not
bad.
+ ZL4PO have a TX ready to use.
+ The amateur radio use with 15 x 3 minutes silence
period is not a bad idea too.
+ Keeping the frequency por ARS use only during
maritime related special events is good also.
+ Who is Glenn Dunstan a manager for installation of
the GMDSS in east Asia?. Is he a ham?. Is he promoting
this idea?.
+ Some people is always showing INTOLERANCE and
DISCRIMINATION. This is´t my way.
+ This is an excrept of a MSG I received this morning:
""Yes, since 1950 I am with my hard and kidney a radio
amateur with license and call PA0GKW, I often must
experienced, that several allocated Radio amateur
frequencies and bands were given to other services, I
see that 500 kHz belong to a historian frequency
"solely" of seafaring people.
As a licensed Radio Telegrafist since jun 1951
I support it. 500 (600 m) we had to obverse
constantly to save human life at sea and so we could
stand together and must verify it in our
logbook.
Myself I used it as a crew member of the
tanker "Oktavius" with great success in case of SOS
while we took fire in the Atlantic Ocean in 1958.
On sea we have to keep two times per hour 3
minutes silent during the SP on 500 Khz, to listen for
distress and we must verify it in our logbook.
Therefore, do not allow radio amateurs to use
500 KHz in respect for our historic job.""

Have a nice day and best regards
