Lets see, we have previously determined bandwidth of a CW signal is mainly
determined by rise and fall times of the keying. So if we optimize rise and fall
times just short of causing key clicks, that will allow us to use the narrowest
filter possible.
Now we see that the duty cycle is less than 50 percent so we can run our rigs at
twice the rated maximum without hurting them.
What I am looking for now is a request for help from someone who let the smoke out
of his transmitter while trying to find his signal on a receiver using a very narrow
filter.
