If you work Hawaii in a dx contest, be sure to send a self-addressed
stamped envelope, and, if possible, a reply card. Many times in a
contest, hawaiian stations are clubs that reply to qsl cards by
themselves.
If you want to set a schedule, you can join eQSL. They have a place to
setup a schedule request. Sometimes they are answered pretty quickly
and other times, not. I got Delaware that way. You won't have to
participate in all their awards if you don't want, but if you get a
sched from them, at least submit an eQSL to the station you worked as
the Op may by collecting awards too.
I can't say it will work as well for you, but when I needed Alaska, I
called "CQ Alaska" several times for a few days and I think, about the
third day I received a reply.
Good luck on Hawaii.
