i poked around pretty extensively on armed forces day
looking for stations to work, and only managed to find
one. it was a naval mars station, in great lakes, ill,
i think. it was on ssb.
perhaps they're short of cw ops these days; isn't it
just for intelligence gathering? or it could be used
in some instances, but they don't necessarily want to
divulge whether it is or not, or which branches have
people trained in it's use. i don't blame them,
really.
btw, i hope to hear alot of you paddle pushers on
field day. i hope to be active on w5ka at the austin
(tx) amateur radio club. using cw, of course. (you
40-60 wpm guys will have to qrs for me, plz!)
