hi john,

a good place to find slower cw qso's is in the old
40 meter novice band; 7.100-7.150 mhz. most of the
activity these days is around 7.106-7.120 mhz.

one evening a few weeks ago, i was the second cw
contact for 2 different hams. both contacts were
in this 7.100-7.150 mhz range.

some slower activity is also in the 7.050-7.060 mhz
range. in general, the faster cw activity is found
lower in the band; a holdover from the era when
extras were required to pass a 20 wpm element, and
generals/advanced a 13 wpm element.
