Anyone ever notice when Ed Hare posts his comments on the low power
amateur radio discussion group, at lehigh university, the replies are
suddenly stopped? This has beeen occuring for some time. Jim Eschleman, the
site owner, says he puts a stop to the thread because it will accomplish
nothing. But there may only be 5-6 replies before the topic is discontinued.
This is Censuring. If Jim does not like what you say BAMMMM the thread is
immediately put into another folder and is not posted. No one will see
anymore posts or replies on that particular topic.
If Jim Eschleman wants to "screen" the posts that is his business and I
can assure you Jim does! In fact ALL THE POSTS. But he should be fair to
all and if something is posted on his reflector, all members should have the
opportunity to make comments to it. Not pick and choose as Jim Eschleman is
doing.
If Jim doesnt want replies to Ed Hares posts, which continually support
the ARRL with their new license proposals, then he should not allow Ed to
make those posts in the first place, and he sure has the ability to do so,
and keep the topic of low power. This is wrong and it is censureship.
By the way if you all dont receive any of my posts to the qrp-l
reflector in the next few days you will know I cannot make any due to Jim
Eschlemans special "screen and delete" key.
