If you're only using the DX QSL buro for incoming, then I believe you don't
need to be an ARRL member for that.

John,
While I don't necessarily agree with the language you have chosen to use, I
do agree with your sentiments. From remarks I am reading, I think the ARRL
has "stepped on their crank" (once again) but maybe folks are finally tired
of their arragant attitude. The next thing coming down the pike will be a
plea for us all to "pull together" (again).

Say what you may, this is just the latest step in dumbing down the hobby.
Say what you may, 5 WPM for an Extra Class license is simply unacceptable.
I suggest that maybe the ARRL should petition the FCC to do away completely
with the CW requirement, followed by a petition to do away the the Technical
Elements and the rules and regulation elements. Then we could rename the
hobby from "Amateur Radio" to Citizens Band.....hey there's a new idea ARRL.

The ARRL offers me one thing...the DX QSL bureau. QST has become a monthly,
glossy catalog. It's pretty obvious that my voice, and many others is
simply being ignored. ARRL is fast becoming like the Cable TV industry.
With no competition, they feel they can do whatever they please. I hope the
attitude changes before they totally destroy this wonderful hobby as we have
come to know it over the past decades.

My 2 cents worth.

Tony, W4FOA
