[CW] QRQ turns into QRS????

I have been trying to improve my speed lately and have been
listening to what I call really fast code on 80 and 40 mtrs...

If I really concentrate I am starting to hear words like "the",
"you",  "and" etc...

If I start to play on the internet with this stuff in the background(its about 45 to 50 wpm) it then seems to turn into a speed of around 5 to 8 wpm approx. I hear a scramble of mixed letters at slow speed..If I then concentrate again the speed I hear comes back up and the odd word comes to me......

Has anyone else experienced this or is it just too much CW and I am going crazy?????

At this time  0105 UTC I am QSX 3532....
