Just a comment on W0OOW's letter...

When we oppose a proposal, I think we need to be
very specific as to what it is we oppose. I 
think that simply saying that the new proposal
"dumbs down" isn't enough - we have to be 
specific. For example, I'm *for* the "NewNovice" idea but against the free upgrades and the loss
of the code test. I'm *for* the ARRL taking polls
and surveys but *against* them keeping the results
secret. Etc. 

If we're not specific, the recipients just see
it as griping.

IOW, tell 'em in detail what they're doing wrong,
and also tell 'em in detail how to do it right.
